Sara is an Italian Australian artist based in Mparntwe/Alice Springs. They are passionate about using photography as a medium for creating connections, provoking critical reflection and telling stories. Sara's art practice revolves around concepts such as identity, culture, nostalgia, migration, class and gender.
Utilising their previous experiences as a social worker, Sara aims to engage and understand people within their social/political environment and use photography as a means of social and political commentary outside the constraints of the NGO and government sectors (Sara holds a BA of Social Work (Hons)).
Sara's commercial practice spans portraiture, event documentation, artwork archival and product photography. They are currently working as a freelance photographer and framer at Chapman and Bailey.
Sara's work is held in private collections around so called Australia.
